Valentines day, where did it all come from? Well according to Wikipedia Valetine’s day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”). The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. All in all a good day was had by me and the ever loving Mrs B by the exchanging of cards and a lovely rose with a diamond pin type thing in it which went down a treat.
As is tradition no valentines day is complete without a trip to the tip to get rid of a hoover as I belive I broke it, well I personally think it was Mrs B but I wouldn’t tell that to her face lol!
After a wonderful trip there, off to see the folks, now since moving out the interesting thing they seem to be more argumentative with each other, well more my father being more stubburn then ever to be fair, so I do what is called for when the area gets a little tense…..Fall asleep.
